Bicyclist Did Not Prove Connecticut Town Knew Grate was Hazardous
A Connecticut bicyclist was injured when his bicycle wheel dropped into
a open space next to a grate. The appellate court determined that the town had
no notice that this condition was a hazard and upheld the trial court's
decision in the town's favor.

Louisiana DOTD Liable for Not Warning Bicyclists of Danger on
Bridge; Bicycle Manufacturer's Warnings Found Adequate
A bicyclist was thrown when his bicycle struck an edge dropoff at a
movable portion of a bridge. The appellate court reversed the trial court's
finding against the bicycle manufacturer and confirmed the damage awards
awarded to the defendant and his wife by the trial court.

The U.S. Department of Transportation reports statistics showing the
